Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in the design of building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of managing projects from conceptual design through construction administration, with a strong understanding of code compliance, client needs, and coordination with other disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical engineering design efforts for multiple, concurrent projects.
- Develop construction documents, specifications, and reports.
- Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash, and coordination studies.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical and structural engineers, and external consultants.
- Conduct field surveys and inspections, and support construction administration.
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders.
- Mentor and oversee junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes and standards.
- Participate in client meetings and help develop and maintain client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in NYS or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical engineering for buildings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with public sector, government, and institutional projects preferred.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design experience for commercial, institutional, and government projects. You will work closely with our architects, engineers, and project managers to develop efficient and constructible mechanical designs from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform HVAC and plumbing system design, load calculations, equipment selection, and layout.
- Produce construction documents including drawings and specifications.
- Conduct site visits, field investigations, and assessments of existing mechanical systems.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines.
- Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and provide construction administration support.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in building mechanical systems design.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with energy modeling tools a plus.
- Strong knowledge of relevant codes (e.g., NYS Building Code, ASHRAE, NFPA).
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Fire Protection experience a plus.
